Auction at Steinen SZ: lucky man buys house for 50,000 francs

The buyer from Goldau SZ had secured the neighboring house at a previous auction. This property is a residential and commercial building with two apartments, office and a restaurant on the ground floor. It is dated to the 13th or 14th century.

Apparently, an ongoing lease has also deterred potential buyers in this case. The estimate for this property was 1.1 million Swiss francs. However, this property also changed hands below its value: the buyer bought it for CHF 890,000.

But the guy doesn’t look like a real estate agent. After winning the tender, the new owner declared that he has a soft spot for historic buildings. He wants to keep the two properties as before and continue the leases. However, it is also planning gentle renovations. (No)
