‘Challenge of the new era’, primary health care symposium

Panama is ready to welcome international experts to address key health issues during the country’s first primary health care symposium.

From May 25 to 28 200 specialists from Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Panama and Honduras will respond to the invitation of the symposium “Challenge of the New Age”organized by Asofarma.

This extraordinary activity will gather more than 200 doctors from the region of Central America and the Caribbeanwho will have the opportunity to update their knowledge and deal with relevant topics for dealing with current challenges in the treatment of patients.

It will feature 20 internationally renowned speakers from Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.

These experts from various disciplines will share their knowledge and experience to offer attendees a comprehensive perspective on the latest developments in various fields of medicine.

“This first symposium will open up new possibilities for learning and collaboration among clinicians, enabling them to seek innovative alternatives and effective treatments for their patients,” said Dr. Ana Patricia Argueta, Medical Director asopharm for Central America and the Caribbean.

During the four days of activity, will deal with various important issues in the field primary health care, such as arterial hypertension, diabetes, obesity and other prevalent diseases.

These topics will be taught in modules by experts from anesthesiology, endocrinology, sexology, gynecology, cardiology and geriatrics among others.

“Each of the modules will deal with key aspects current medicine, such as pain management, osteoporosis, neuroscience, gynecology, metabolic disorders and cardiovascular disease. We are sure that this experience will have a positive impact on medical practice and the quality of care for patients,” explained Dr. Ana Patricia Argueta.

The realization of this the first symposium emphasizes the importance of medical education it remains an essential tool for updating healthcare professionals in a rapidly changing environment.
