“John Wick” is supposed to revolutionize Hollywood action cinema. Every second movie is now based on meticulously planned gun-fu spectacles, where you would want to see every scene twice to pay attention to all the details. In addition to “Atomic Blonde”, “Nobody” or “Bullet Train”, there’s also action from the John Wick school on Netflix: “Tyler Rake: Extraction” with Chris Hemsworth.
The first installment is one of the most successful Netflix movies ever, so of course it was only a matter of time before we saw a sequel to the streaming service starring the big red N. Here’s an official trailer for it now – and Chris Hemsworth can too show again in “Tyler Rake: Extraction 2” that he is a muscular beast that should not be messed with!

The action highlight of 2023?
The recently released teaser trailer already made it clear that “Extraction 2” was not only based on “John Wick”, but also on “The Raid 2”. In this he was allowed to make his way across a prison square, which increasingly resembled an inferno of violence. And at the very end, after Chris Hemworth was already on fire, he also shot down a helicopter with a minigun.
The new trailer, which has now been released, also strings together one powerful action scene after another and gives the impression that THE action highlight of 2023 will probably be streaming directly on Netflix. Whether the overall package is ultimately good or only the action sequences really stand out remains to be seen. But it would be nice if “Extraction 2” would also be a bit more refined than in the first part in terms of story and characters.
The focus of “Extraction 2” is – as the title says – another extraction. So Tyler Rake has to go into a danger zone again to save a person. In this case, he has to rescue the family of a Georgian gangster from prison. In addition, the question will probably be clarified how Tyler Rake can be part of the game again in part 2, after all, he (apparently) dies in the predecessor…
