You can reach the mountain station on foot or by the local chairlift, where you can rent off-road scooters and helmets. Then about 6 kilometers downhill in front of idyllic scenery. The route is partly asphalt and partly gravel. Children over the age of 12 are allowed to ride the route alone, and younger children only accompanied by an adult.

The chairlift from Filzbach GL takes you to Alp Habergschwaend, where you can rent scooters and bike helmets at the mountain station. Young children can ride the family scooters on an elevated platform with their parents. Children from the age of six or seven can also ride the scooter on their own at the discretion of their parents, provided they can brake and are safe on the road. There are special versions of the Kerenzerberg sports train with small brake levers for children. More than seven kilometers of descent on a paved mountain road offers great views of Lake Walen. It is possible to rent a monster scooter for the descent from the Lauchernalp cable car mountain station in Lötschental in Valais. Wide tire scooters are specially designed for mountain descents and are great fun for young and old alike. Children up to 14 years old and at least 1.30 meters tall can ride one of these scooters themselves, accompanied by an adult.
