“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” delights fans: “Best MCU movie”

Fans are absolutely loving the latest superhero movie – it’s said to be one of the best Marvel movies ever. The income from cinema tickets paints a different picture.

With “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3» Marvel concludes the trilogy about the group of space heroes led by Peter Quill (or Star-Lord). The focus of this film is the talking raccoon Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper and a fan favorite since the beginning of the series.

If you don’t want to know anything more about the plot, you can skip the next two sections and continue reading here:

There are countless villains in the galaxy great and wide – that is clear to all Marvel fans by now. But the High Evolutionary, a scientist trying to create better humans through animal testing, surpasses some.

His behavior is particularly cruel and unscrupulous and holds up a mirror to our society when it comes to animal testing. Until now it was only suggested what happened to Rocket as a cub, now viewers are learning the sad truth. The High Evolutionary being the boss of the Guardians also makes sense since they avenge one of them and Rocket can finally put his past to rest.

Fan response so far has been mostly positive (more on that below). It’s one of the best MCU movies, writes one. Others write about how much they cried during the movie.

The sales figures of cinema tickets also look good at first sight. The Marvel film, which opened in theaters last Thursday, has already grossed more than $282 million worldwide and has already climbed to fourth place in the box office this year. In the US, sales amount to $114 million, which is significantly less than the expected $120 million. The second installment grossed $146 million in its opening weekend (approximately $170 million at current box office prices). Here too, the newest part is significantly lower.

Of the last nine Marvel movies released during the same period (Spring/Summer), the new Guardians of the Galaxy is the last in terms of opening weekend revenue – including inflation. The drop from last year’s movie (“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”) is significant — $73 million less than it was then, writes “Indie Wire.” And this despite the fact that “Strange” was a sequel to a less successful series than “Guardians”.

The ratings on the review platform Rotten Tomatoes are exceptionally good. The film already has more than 10,000 viewers, with a score of 95 percent. This enthusiasm also spills over to social media, where fans euphorically express their opinions:
