James Gunn will miss Guardians of the Galaxy

During the global press conference, the famous director said that he loves these characters very much, especially because the actors who play them are really positive, compassionate, kind and loving people, and he “became incredibly close” to these people, which made the films much more a more pleasant experience.

“I love you all. I think there are some that I’m especially fond of, especially Rocket. And yes, that’s the saddest part of all of this. I’m going to see all these people again, they’re all my friends, but no, I’m going to see a character, I’m not going to write again characters, at least not in the near future. It’s a real sadness,” he said.

The director recalled how he created the film twelve (12) years ago: “I felt like we were doing something different, I felt that the world needed a different space fantasy than what we had seen before, so I was very pleasantly surprised when my highest hopes came true, but I think in terms of the story that we told in all three movies, I kind of had a sense of how it was going to go from the beginning.”

Producer, Kevin Feigebelieves that the Guardians trilogy represents “something unique within the pantheon of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, of which he is “very proud”.
