According to Amazon Prime Video, the fourth season of “LOL: Last One Laughing” has become the “most watched German title of all time on Prime Video in Germany and Austria”. It is therefore logical that the successful comedy format, in which stars compete against each other and are not allowed to laugh for hours, continues to the next round. But we still have to wait until the fifth season of “LOL”.
Season 5 “LOL” – from Easter 2024 on Amazon Prime Video
Than such as Amazon Prime Video and Host Michael Bullebak Herbig have collectively announced that a 5th season of “LOL” will be coming to Amazon Prime Video in Easter 2024. That speaks for a start date at the end of March / beginning of April 2024 and therefore almost exactly a year after the current fourth season, which appeared from April 6 to 20. This maintains the 1-year gap that existed for the third season, which was released in April 2022.
Only in the beginning did it go faster with “LOL”. After the first season, which was released in April 2021, the second season followed in October 2021. The first three seasons came out just six months apart. You may not want to oversaturate the audience with the format too quickly, so rely on the yearly rhythm. Of course, it remains to be seen which stars will this time try to make their colleagues laugh without making a face themselves. It should again be a mix of “LOL” newcomers and old acquaintances who will compete again.
