But now the time has come, the cinema release is within reach. To get you in the mood, a new trailer of the highly anticipated new edition has now been released, which exudes pure Disney magic with mesmerizing visuals and catchy music:
The preview is pretty tight with a running time of just under 30 seconds. But even half a minute is enough to get an (even) better idea of Rob Marshall’s editing. From animated classic to epic live action
As recent years have shown, remakes are a great opportunity to revive popular classics by contemporary standards. On the visual side, this represents a particularly exciting innovation, as former cartoon milestones are revived as live-action versions augmented by state-of-the-art computer effects.
At the same time, there are not only repeated narrative deviations. The remakes are usually much longer than their role models, so they feel bigger, more epic – and occasionally even overshadow the original, as the author of this article at least in the case of “The Jungle Book” or “The Jungle Book “. As was recently announced, the new “The Little Mermaid” will likely have a runtime of 135 minutes or two hours and 15 minutes – almost an hour longer than that Original from 1989 are.
The reasons for this include the narrative pace of the live-action films mentioned, which differs greatly from that of the fresh, entertaining templates, and also possible changes or expansions of the content. Such an already confirmed extension goes hand in hand with the new song “For The First Time” or “For the First Time”, which Arielle will sing when she goes ashore for the first time.
One of the most anticipated movies of the moment
