The Easter weekend was (and is) dominated by strong offers. For example, MediaMarkt still has an Ambilight TV for you at the lowest price. If you are looking for a cheap 4K TV with good technology, you should take a look at Otto.
Because the mail order company currently offers you the Hisense E77HQ with 65 inches (164 centimeters) for only 629.70 euros. That is a saving of 30 percent compared to the suggested retail price. The version with 55 inches (139 centimeters) costs 441.43 euros*the 50 inch (126 centimeters) option 395.63 euros*. The cheapest variant with 43 inches (109 centimeters) is included 346.02 euros*.
The Hisense TV has this advantage over the market leaders LG, Sony and Samsung
For little money you get a rock-solid 4K TV with a QLED screen, which thanks to Quantum Dots technology high contrast values and almost perfect black gives. The E77HQ can even upscale Full HD or lower resolution content to 4K.
Besides the QLED display, the biggest plus of the Hisense TV is the support of the two main HDR formats HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Here Hisense is ahead of the market leaders LG, Sony and Samsung. Since LG and Sony only support Dolby Vision, Samsung only supports HDR10+.
Dolby Vision and HDR10+ create an even wider range of colors and brightness for the best possible picture quality. While most streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Co. relying on Dolby Vision, HDR10+ is mainly found in Amazon Prime Video content. Unlike LG, Sony and Samsung, you don’t have to choose between the HDR formats with the Hisense TV.
However, the Hisense E77HQ is less suitable for gamers and sports enthusiasts because the refresh rate is “only” included 60 hertz. Responsive gaming and smooth images in sports broadcasts are much easier to achieve with a 120 Hertz display. If you mainly use the 4K TV for streaming, then the 60 Hertz is more than sufficient.
The viewing angle stability of the E77HQ can also be improved, as can peak brightness. However, given the low price, these shortcomings are manageable.
The best alternatives to Hisense TV
The Hisense U8HQ offers 120 Hertz and two HDMI 2.1 connections, which also uses a QLED screen and supports both HDR formats. Currently you can get the 55-inch version of Otto 35 percent cheaper for 850.56 euros.
Compared to the E77HQ, the U8HQ offers extra Local dimming and thus achieves an even better range from the deepest black to the brightest white. There’s also a significantly higher peak brightness, making the U8HQ a good option in the home theater even in daylight.
If you can wait a little longer, the Amazon Fire TV Omni is a good and cheap alternative to the E77HQ. The Smart TV will be released on June 1 costs 799 euros with 55 inches at market launch*.
Amazon has introduced the new top model of the Fire TV series QLED display with 120 Hertz, full array dimming and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision lost. Even HDR10+ Adaptive and Dolby Vision IQ are supported, just like the Hisense U8HQ. These technologies adjust the brightness of the 4K TV to the lighting conditions in your living room. HDMI 2.1 is also provided.
