Alejandro Torres: Don’t you want a cantadera in your dances?

Traditionally, there are cantaderas before typical musical dances, however, apparently the musician Alejandro Torres is not in favor of this expression of national folklore.

According to the statements of Rafael “Lili” Samaniego, a troubadour and composer of typical music, Torres allegedly does not want cantadera in his dances, so he reminded him that representatives of this genre have a long history of doing so.

“Alexander Torres does not want to cantaderaI sing elsewhere, but that’s right, remember that you started earlier and you’re already tired, and when you get down, don’t look for us”, commented Samaniego in the cantadera.

He then added: “If they don’t agree with national folklore in our style, follow your own path… go ahead with your music, I’ll go with mine”.

Samaniego repeated that he was a witness that the musician expressed that he did not want to cantadare in the places where he plays, and even the troubadour is willing to talk to Torres.

The troubadour, with more than 30 years of artistic career, concluded his comment by reminding Torres: “I am the folklore history of this country, you started before.”

Torres, for his part, did not comment on the “Lili” accusations, however, reactions did not take long, and some even took sides.
