Interestingly, Tarantino used Cate Blanchett’s name in a little rant many years ago. In 2015, he criticized American indie cinema. At that age, Kael was just writing her very first movie reviews, encouraged to do so by a newspaper editor friend after reviewing a movie. It wasn’t until she was in her mid-40s that she devoted herself fully to the profession.
