There are so many movies made every year that it’s impossible to see them all. But we can’t see a movie either – even though we’d really like to. Because by the time this movie comes out, chances are we’ll all be dead. We talk about “100 Years: The Movie You’ll Never See‘ a work by the director of ‘Desperados’ Robert Rodriguezwhich will not be released until November 18, 2115. Yes, you read that right: 2115!
The work serves as a kind of time capsule – and so that no one sees it before publication, The film is locked in a vault that won’t open until the countdown, set to 100 years after production ended in 2015, ends in November 2115.
This is 100 years: the movie you’ll never see
100 Years is directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by actor John Malkovich, who also stars in the film. Besides him, two other stars can be seen. Shuya Chang from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny took on the female lead. The antagonist in the story was played by martial arts star Marko Zaror, who as a villain also wants to get his hands on John Wick from Keanu Reeves in “John Wick: Chapter 4”.
But we don’t know exactly what characters they play and what the story is. It’s secret, like so much about “100 years” only revealed to be some kind of sci-fi story. Even the length of the film remains a mystery, with suspicions of it being more of a short film.
There are only a few mysterious teasers we’ve included in this text. But it’s not clear how misleading these teasers are. After all, they show completely different settings – in one there is a high-tech world of the future, in another nature has reclaimed the Earth after a nuclear disaster, in another preview cyborgs have taken control of the planet.
The film was made in collaboration with a luxury cognac brand for which Robert Rodriguez has shot several short films. That is why there is also a drink from the manufacturer in the safe with the film. The manufacturer has already organized the grand premiere in 2115. 1000 regular customers received an invitation. The durable metal ticket must stand the test of time so it can be passed down and then the descendants can come to the display in nearly 100 years.
With that backstory, 100 Years: The Movie You Will Never See is arguably one of the craziest movie productions out there.
