It’s been almost 16 years since “Rush Hour 3” hit theaters and since then, as is known, not only some time has passed, but a lot has happened. However, protagonist and martial arts icon Jackie Chan has been holding onto the “Rush Hour 4” sequel for years and repeatedly brings this plan to the table in interviews. It wasn’t until late 2022 that he reconfirmed that he was already working on the sequel and in talks with a director.
However, we haven’t heard much since then. Above all, it was always only Chan who spoke specifically about it – until now.
Chris Tucker will definitely be present in Rush Hour 4
In an interview with the podcast Chan’s “Rush Hour” colleague Chris Tucker (“Air”) talked about his next projects and “Rush Hour 4” was also mentioned: “I will definitely be part of ‘Rush Hour 4’ because I love working with Jackie, but there will also be some new stuff that you guys will love”Tucker promised. Unfortunately, the actor – who is next to star in Ben Affleck’s new movie Air – hasn’t said when, how or where.
As mentioned earlier, there is no other information about it. However, it is not expected that Brett Ratner, who directed all three previous Rush Hour films, will be in the sequel. Ratner was accused of sexual assault, assault and rape by numerous Hollywood colleagues in 2017, and Warner ended his partnership. 2014’s Hercules was his last film as a director.
Who will eventually direct “Rush Hour 4”, when we can expect the sequel and which other actors and actresses will be part of the action game is still completely unknown. However, Chan will soon be seen in “New Police Story 2”. Everything about the exciting sequel can be found here:
