Tarantino is preparing ‘The Movie Critic’, his latest film

Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino is close to directing “The Movie Critic,” a film that could be his last.

According to the exclusive of specialized media The Hollywood ReporterSources close to the director assure that the director of “Pulp Fiction” (1995) plans to start the production of the film in the fall of this year.

The film, which does not yet have a studio attached, is based on a screenplay titled “Film Critic” which he wrote himself and which is only known to have a film critic from the seventies at the center of its story.

According to the publication, the film could be based on life Pauline Kael, one of the most influential film critics of her time, famous for her irreverence and lack of objectivity in her writings, respected by various filmmakers and colleagues, including Tarantino.

In the past, the director mentioned that his career director she was limited to making 10 films and that she wanted to retire at the age of 60.

The director also revealed in 2022 that he plans to return to television and recently published his book “Cinema Speculations”.
