These are the bad habits that are hurting your belly weight loss:

1. Wrong foods

Proper nutrition is one of the most important points when it comes to losing weight. You should generally follow a low-calorie diet and avoid fast food or sweets.

2. Too much alcohol

Alcohol should not be drunk while losing weight, as it is very high in calories. If you drink alcohol as a mixed drink, you quickly add 800 calories per drink. Alcohol also raises insulin levels, which increases appetite. Experts believe that drinking alcohol prevents you from losing belly fat. Excess alcohol stops the liver from metabolizing fats and carbohydrates. It deals with breaking down the alcohol first.

3. Too little sleep

If you want to lose weight, you need to sleep a lot, as it affects many processes. If you don’t get enough sleep, you feel exhausted and tired, so you don’t get healthy exercise. Also, insomnia increases appetite. Lack of sleep also has a direct effect on muscle mass. It has been found that if you don’t get enough sleep, you lose more muscle mass, not fat mass. For this reason, you must sleep for at least eight hours in order not to endanger your muscle mass.

4. Too much training

Exercising too often can be harmful. The body needs regeneration time to heal. Too much training leads to the so-called overtraining and therefore a decrease in performance. So be sure to include breaks where you allow your body to rest.

5. Too many sit-ups

Some make the mistake of doing the same exercises over and over, which are not very effective in the long run. Sports in itself is an important prerequisite for reducing abdominal fat. But if you just do sit-ups every day, you won’t accomplish much. Because belly fat does not necessarily disappear with abdominal muscle training. Regular full-body training is much more effective – for example, HIIT training or Tabata.

6. Too much stress

Frequent stress can also prevent you from losing weight in your stomach, as stress produces the hormone cortisol. Cortisol disrupts the fasting-full rhythm. This can make you feel much more hungry than you should. Cortisol also leads to high insulin levels, which can prevent you from losing weight for a long time. So make sure you take breaks and relax.

7. Fast Diets

Some people try to lose weight quickly by dieting. In a fast diet, you usually specialize in a few foods that you eat throughout the day. However, this is not balanced and often leads to weight loss success in problem areas such as the stomach. There is also the risk of the so-called yo-yo effect. After crush diets, you don’t know how to eat a balanced diet and not eat as unhealthy as before. Therefore, try to eat a healthy and balanced diet.
