Mupa Festival is a music and art showcase in search of generating messages of social awareness, promoting emerging artists and providing an interactive space for family life.
This year will celebrate its eighth edition and process “Call for musical ensembles” to participate in the big outdoor concert, at Cinta Costera, on Saturday 29 April, closes today, 1 March.
Who can participate?
national bands (whose members live in the country) that have a minimum of one to a maximum of seven years of proven musical activity and that consist of at least 60% Panamanian musicians by birth or naturalization.
In addition, musical genres accepted in this invitation are rock in all its variants, roots and world music.
You must have at least two to participate Songs available on any digital platform (spotify, deezer, apple music, youtube music, others), or recorded on compact disc or vinyl.
They must have a repertoire of at least half an hour original music. You cannot participate in this call with cover.
Participating bands cannot be part of two versions before Mupa Festival 2023 (2021 and 2022).

This festival has been held since 2015 and has positioned itself as one of the musical events the most important in our city, with the participation of musical bands, both new and experienced, with national and international projection in genres rockmetal, punkmerging and others.
The event, organized by the municipality of Panama, is based on three important axes: Educational conferences with a series of conferences aimed at promoting the music industry; promoting and supporting new and national artists in the genres of rock, metal, word music, among others; and a great outdoor concert for family life.
