Unlike the third installment of the “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer” series, the new film is apparently intended to tie in directly with the first two installments. At least there’s talk of original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. who return. Corresponding negotiations are ongoing but not yet finalized, not least because the project is still in an early stage of development.
