1. Berken BE

Berken is a small community in the administrative district of Oberaargau in the canton of Bern. The village is only 1.39 km2 It is large and has a capacity of 45 people. Despite its size, the municipality has a relatively large selection of clubs and restaurants.

2. Rebel BE

Rebévelier is a small German-speaking farming village in the north of the canton of Bern. The municipality covers 3.55 km2 and at the end of 2018 it had only 41 inhabitants. Even today, the village mainly makes a living from agriculture.

3. scolding BE

Schelten is the northernmost municipality in the canton of Bern. It is located in the north-east and directly on the language border. The municipality is therefore bilingual and was officially called La Scheulte until 1914. 5.56 km today2 A large community with a population of 36 people.

6. Korippo TI

Corippo is a municipality in the Verzasca Valley. For a long time it was considered one of the smallest communities in Switzerland. The village is home to only 11 people in an area of ​​7.7 km.2. Just last year, on October 18, 2020, the municipality merged with the former municipalities of Brione, Cugnasco Gerra, Frasco, Lavertezzo, Sonogno and Vogorno to form the new municipality of Verzasca.

7. Zumdorf UR

Zumdorf, south of Uris, is considered the smallest village in Switzerland. Only three people live here, the Schmid family of three. The father and his two sons run a restaurant together here. Apart from that, there are only two huts and a chapel in the village. The village once had more inhabitants. But due to a bad avalanche and the constant danger of avalanches, many have moved from the village.
