AppleTV+ has been around in Germany for a while, but has the problem of having a much smaller portfolio than the competition like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Disney+. According to the author of these rules, the provider compensates for this lack of mass with a lot of class. Because there are many highlights with AppleTV+, some of which are still far too unknown, as many do not want or cannot afford another subscription besides Netflix and Co.
Now Will Smith can help. Through his Instagram channel, he announced that he is giving everyone two months of AppleTV +. The promotion works worldwide (we tested it). You just have to get up http://apple.co/willgift go and you can pick up your two free months there.
But it’s important: After the two months, the subscription is automatically renewed and costs € 6.99 per month in Germany. So you have to remember to cancel it again if you don’t want to use AppleTV+ after that.

But you might want to, because as mentioned earlier, AppleTV+ doesn’t have a huge amount of content, but it does have a lot of class. Of course, Will Smith wants you to stream his new movie, Emancipation, but there are some things we think are way more interesting than the slavery drama, which got “only” 2.5 stars in the FILMSTARTS review.
For example, there’s Ted Lasso, the ultimate feel-good show of recent years, which you should see whether you’re even remotely interested in football or not. “Severance”, “Dickinson”, “Servant”, “Pachinko” and the alternative space racing must-see “For All Mankind” also offer a variety of top-notch series. And these are just a few highlights. Among other things, such titles as “Shantaram”, “Slow Horses” or “In With The Devil” have recently started in the series area, which the author of these lines has not seen himself on the watch list.
We also have some recommendations for launching movies on AppleTV+: last year’s Oscar winner “CODA”, for example, can only be streamed exclusively there. Recently there was a little hype about “Cha Cha Real Smooth”. Colleague Daniel Fabian voted the drama his best streaming film of the year so far in the summer. While there are two exclusive AppleTV+ movies (“Greyhound”, “Finch”) starring superstar Tom Hanks, the author of these lines can recommend some music (star) documentaries:

And those who like high-quality documentaries cannot ignore Werner Herzog. His “Fireball: Visitation from Far Worlds” is also available to stream exclusively on AppleTV+.
