Of course, Jackie Chan fans especially celebrate those classics in which the martial arts legend gets ripped apart in a particularly bone-crushing and daring way. The Highlights: Those films Chan himself directed. In addition, the martial arts ace also represents one of the best stunt teams in the movie world – and that was also used for films where their mentor did not appear on camera. One of them: the “Top Squad”, also known internationally as “The Inspector Wears Skirts” or “Lady Enforcers”.
Jackie Chan not only produced “Top Squad” but was also on board as an action choreographer – including his stunt team. And that’s exactly what you notice in the film in almost every action scene. When it really comes down to this, it just hurts to watch – just like in Jackie Chan’s smash hit cult hits!
After the film was first released on DVD in Germany in 2006, the highly anticipated HD premiere of the action hit finally follows: “Top Squad” will first be released on Blu-ray on February 24, 2023 – completely uncut with a rating of 18:
» “Top Squad” at Amazon: Media Book A* / Media Book B*
The film appears in two strictly limited Mediabook editions, which contain the film uncut on both Blu-ray and DVD and also come with a 16-page booklet. The two editions have the same content and differ only in their design. There are only 1,000 of each.

“Top Squad” is one of many martial arts actors produced in Hong Kong – alongside “Heroic Trio” starring “Everything Everywhere All At Once” star Michelle Yeoh – with a female main cast. So it makes perfect sense that Jackie Chan didn’t appear on camera for the film he produced. Because even in a supporting role, he would probably have grabbed the audience’s attention and probably stole the show from the actual headliners of the movie. However, that would not be the point – and unnecessary.
The cast of the film is also impressive. Hong Kong martial arts connoisseurs and film buffs can learn more about the martial arts grande dams from B-Action cinema Cynthia Rothrock (“China O’Brien”, “Yes, Madam”), who has also been part of numerous Kara Wai well-known is known for more recent productions such as “Dragon” or “Monster-Hunt”, as well as Ann Bridgewater (“Cover Hard”) and Sibelle Hu, who has repeatedly appeared on camera with Jackie Chan over the course of her career – for example for ‘Tokyo Powerman’ and ‘Powerman 2’.
Fans of Jackie Chan’s “Police Story” can also look forward to a reunion with his co-star Mars, albeit in a supporting role. And director Wellson Chin should also be known to many genre fans – but perhaps more as an actor. He has also appeared alongside Chan numerous times during his career (in Winners & Sinners and Project B) and played one of the neighbors in the quirky chaos arrangement of Stephen Chow’s martial arts comedy Kung Fu Hustle”. As a director, however, he never made the big break , so that ‘Top Squad’ remains one of the highlights of his work to this day.
