Dive into the price list: the BYD Atto 3

Following the earlier announcements, the BYD Atto 3 is available to order now. We dive into the price list to introduce the interesting newcomer in more detail.

You may already know BYD from the city buses that have been driving around in several Dutch municipalities for several years. There is now also a car range. Perhaps the most interesting of these is the Atto 3, a relatively compact crossover. We have already been able to drive the car and now it can also be ordered. We dive into the price list.

Although, price list, BYD doesn’t seem to do that. There is a configurator. It clearly shows that the BYD Atto 3 comes in two flavors: comfort and design. The starting price for the Comfort is 42,998 euros. The design can be ordered from 44,998 euros.

Standard equipment BYD Atto 3

Fortunately, the configurator provides a clear list of the standard equipment. Some highlights: 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, sliding/tilting glass roof, keyless entry, 5-inch digital instruments, vegan upholstery, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera, a rotatable (!) 12 .8″ touchscreen on the center console, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and navigation via HERE Maps. Quite a lot, which explains the somewhat high starting price.

The design version adds, among other things, a power tailgate, a vehicle-to-load connection and a larger rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen on the center console.

A quick look at the specs: Regardless of the version, you get a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor, good for the 0-100 sprint in 7.2 seconds. The 60.5 kWh battery provides a range of 420 km (WLTP). It is charged with 11 kW three-phase current.

The number of options for the Atto 3 is limited. Or rather: there are none. The only choice you have is the trim level and body color. The body color Surf Blue is selected by default in the configurator, but you can also opt for dark grey, red or white at no extra charge. It is striking that the blue body color has a different type of rim than the other colors. Other rim/color combinations are not possible.

There is also no choice when it comes to the interior: blue-grey upholstery is standard, there are no other options. It is remarkable that you don’t even see the interior in the configurator.
