It came as a shock to “Winx” fans: Although “Fate: The Winx Saga” is one of the most popular fantasy formats on Netflix, the series’ streaming service pulled the plug after its second season – although after season 2 many questions remain unanswered. An ungrateful and above all unsatisfactory end to the series for the fans. But now there’s another reason to rejoice: While Netflix hasn’t suddenly backtracked on its decision to end the series after two seasons, the newly fueled hype should now be reaching unimaginable heights. Because now the magical world must be told in a different way.
series creator Iginio Straff has now announced via an Instagram post that several new projects are in the works following the cancellation of “Fate: The Winx Saga” and fans can look forward to further excursions into the magical world: “Destiny was an exciting adventure, a huge success and a hit that was watched by millions worldwide and reaffirmed the power of the ‘Winx’ world. I am working on many exciting ‘Winx’ projects in the near future, some of which I will be happy to share with you.”
Will the magical fairies even make it to the big screen?
According to Straffi, these projects are on the one hand a Restart CG Animated Seriesthat transports fans back to the imaginative “Winx” universe, as well as a “Big Budget Winx Moviewhich the series creator describes as his dream project. For this film, he will work hard to provide fans with a top-notch film that will give its loyal followers exactly what they’ve come to expect from a return to the Winx world.
However, no specific information was released about the animated reboot or the film. There are still many unanswered questions, especially with the “big-budget Winx movie” – will it be a feature film or perhaps a direct production for a streaming provider? Is it a completely standalone movie or could the movie be a conclusion to the Fate: The Winx Saga story? In any case, we are curious how it goes…
