New on Netflix this week: “Enola Holmes 2” & one of the biggest mystery hypes of recent years finally continues


Every week we give you an overview of the most exciting movies and series that will make their way to Netflix over the next seven days. The whole thing is especially fruitful if the end of the month falls in the period under consideration, since the streaming service always adds a lot of movies at the beginning of the month, including on Tuesday 1 November. But we can also expect potential contenders for the watchlist on the other days, especially the sequels to the Netflix hit “Enola Holmes” and the mystery series “Manifest”.

Here are the Netflix highlights for the week of October 31 – November 6, 2022:

Monday: Series Replenishment from the “Sherlock” Creators

While there will likely be no more episodes of the series’ hit “Sherlock,” the makers are now committed to all sorts of other projects. The latest from Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat is called Inside man and is also known for Stanley Tucci (“In my heaven”) and “Doctor Who” David Tennant.

It revolves around a man on death row (Tucci) who helps a young British journalist find her missing boyfriend – a complex case that somehow seems to involve an inconspicuous priest (Tennant).

Tuesday: tired of looking for a movie

Tuesday is the day. After Netflix removed all kinds of licensed films from the program on Monday at the end of the month, the gap will be filled again at the beginning of the new month. Fans of young adults can learn more about the completely “hunger games“-Queue To be happy. But the wait is finally over: In the nine new episodes of the current project from former “Avatar – Lord of the Elements” lead author Aaron Ehasz, the conflict between the human kingdoms and the magical world of Xadia enters the next round.

Those who feel more like material of this world will get it Killer Sally on Wednesday, Netflix’s next true crime documentary series will also be served. The focus: Bodybuilder Sally McNeil, who was convicted in 1996 of murdering her husband on Valentine’s Day.

Thursday: Comedy for video store fans

It’s going to be nostalgic with the comedy series on Thursday blockbusters, which revives the passion for the almost extinct video rental landscape. Friday: “Enola Holmes” and “Manifesto” continue

Netflix has sequels to two particularly popular titles from the streaming service in store on Friday. The disappearance of a girl, who seems innocent at first, soon sets her on the trail of a far-reaching conspiracy that she can only fathom with her famous brother.

After its early cancellation by US broadcaster NBC, it enjoyed great popularity with Netflix after the streaming service included it in its portfolio. This eventually convinced the provider to produce a fourth and final season itself, to bring the story of the apparently time-traveling passengers of an airplane to an end. The first ten episodes of the final season will now be released on Friday, the remaining ten will follow at a later date.

Saturday & Sunday: Nothing new on Netflix
