Captain Inhuman Band says goodbye to CD

After a 36-year career in music industrySanti Sánchez, who commands Captain Inhuman Gangsays goodbye to Physical formatfrom the CD, along with the album “Evolucionando a menos”, a compilation of songs he composed during his career.

“It is not the last song, nor the last album, nor the last work, it is the latest cd have a memory. Just like I keep ‘Los Goonies’ or ‘ET’ on VHS, because we recorded the last CD,” explained Santi Sánchez in an interview with EFE.

This singer and composer, who lived in Cantabria for three years after falling in love with ‘tierruca’, said that in the 36 years of his career, everything has changed a lot and very quickly.

So he explained that before records were released, it was the public who bought them and decided whether a group or a singer was still in the band or not. industry.

“Now practically everything comes out in cans from the factory and records tend to disappear, even the big artists in terms of sales like Rosalia now selling. Gold records are counted by Downloads in social networks. So maybe it’s time to say goodbye to the stage that is CD”, said the Captain Inhuman Band member.

Sánchez assures that he does not know what will happen next, whether there will be pencils drive or vinylsbut what “Evolucionando a Worse” is their last album in physical format.

The new album was created as a need to record in a physical format what they have been doing in recent years, a reissue of some of the latest songs they have composed, with some novelties such as “Se te ve el cardboard”.

“‘You can see the cardboard’ is a an autobiographical poem unfortunately, because 30 years ago we talked about making love, and now we have to adapt in a different way. From the time we have, we are starting to have more viewership in Turkey,” Sánchez pointed out.

And he also announced that one of the surprises of the album, along with this new single, is the release of a song that originally had a different name and was almost a commissioned song that was changed in the end.

Sánchez explained that Captain Inhuman Band is the evolution of many of his experiences over 36 years careerwhich started in 1988 with the group Inhumans.

He then founded the Captain Scoundrel Gang in 2001 and after five years realized that the technique “is like Superman’s underpants, making you a normal person on the inside and superpowers on the outside.” And for this reason, he reverted to his “inhuman” self and created the Inhuman Captain Gang.

“Captain Inhuman Band is the present, the past and the future and the day after tomorrow of the pop music of this country”, concludes Santi Sánchez.
