Price-performance QLED TV with very clear image and 120 Hz

To the deal*

MediaMarkt and Saturn* are currently offering a whopping 50 percent discount on the recommended retail price and have the Samsung QN85C with 65 inches (163 cm) on offer for only 1,299 euros. The 55 inch (138 cm) variant* At only 933 euros it is even 51 percent cheaper.

Samsung QN85C: Brilliant display with 120 Hz

The display of the Samsung QN85C is logically the first thing you notice. The color reproduction is especially impressive. thanks to high peak brightness of approximately 1000 nits and the strong anti-reflective coating, the QN85C is ideal for bright living rooms and for enjoying films and series in daylight. The motion smoothing in combination with the 120 Hz screen is also very good and makes the Samsung TV the ideal choice if you are looking for a TV for the upcoming European Football Championship.

This is also excellent Viewing angle stability of the QN85C. Wherever you sit, the colors are always displayed faithfully. The 4K television shows its full potential in HDR mode. Then the contrasts are particularly impressive thanks to the high black levels. Only the HDR format Dolby Vision must be omitted, but the Samsung TV can play content in HDR10+.

The sound is also surprisingly good. However, the bass is missing. Given the flat design of the television, this is not surprising. In combination with a Samsung soundbar* you can use the TV speakers as extra compartments in your setup integrate and get even more out of it.

Strong gaming and streaming features

Furthermore, the Samsung QN85C offers everything you would expect from a high-quality 4K television. He has four HDMI 2.1 ports and gaming technologies such as VRR and ALLM for fast gaming. The Tizen operating system is also compatible with all common streaming services and gives you the freedom to sort apps in the start menu according to your own preferences.

Compared to other 4K TVs, the Samsung QN85C is as well very energy efficient and classified in energy efficiency class D. Only few TV sets can achieve this with such high peak brightness. One reason for this is Samsung’s well-functioning brightness sensor, which adjusts the light output to the lighting conditions in the living room.

Hisense U77HQ: the affordable alternative to the Samsung TV

A cheap alternative to the Samsung QN85C is the Hisense U77HQ. The 65-inch version is currently available at MediaMarkt and Saturn* 500 euros cheaper for only 799 euros.

The Hisense TV outperforms the Samsung QN85C in compatible HDR formats: In addition to HDR10+, the U77HQ also supports Dolby Vision. It also offers 120Hz and generally good picture quality for moving images. Only when it comes to maximum brightness (450 nits) does the Hisense clearly have to admit defeat to the QN85C. The brightness is still very decent for this price range.
