Cupra makes gasoline models significantly cheaper

Cupra is reducing prices for the brand’s two petrol models, the Formentor and the Leon. You pay a maximum of 5,000 euros less than before.

In addition to the price cut, there is less good news for enthusiasts. The Formentor with the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which is known from the Audi RS3, is going out of production. In the Netherlands, this model was never on the price list, although you could order a new model through the importer – provided you were prepared to pay a lot of BPM.

Petrol models Cupra cheaper

Even if you’re willing to pay a lot BPM, you can only get Cupra petrol models backed by an electric motor. As an Essential Limited, the Cupra Leon with the 204 hp plug-in hybrid drive can be ordered from just under 40,000 euros. Previously it was almost 43 grand. The difference to the sports tourer is even greater. It cost at least 44,490 euros and now costs 41,490 euros.

The Cupra Formentor has also become cheaper again. The version with the 204 hp plug-in hybrid drive can be ordered for 42,490 euros. You will then receive the Essential Limited version, which is 3,500 euros cheaper than before. You get the biggest discount on a Formentor VZ Performance Limited. This model now costs 48,990 euros, 5,000 euros less than before.

This power has not 204, but 245 hp. The powertrain consists of a 1.4-liter four-cylinder supported by an electric motor.
