The ultimate genre: science fantasy!
The magazine he revealed it was in “Rebel Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire.” There are already magical elements that become even greater as the story progresses – for example, when we learn how the gigantic spaceship Dreadnought is really powered or when the backstory is told as to why the mother world at the center of the universe managed to subjugate all the other planets. Snyder goes on to explain that while a story becomes increasingly “mythological,” it eventually becomes “magical.” “Ultimately, I really want fantasy and science fiction to be present in equal measure.”
