Camping Eiger North Face, Grindelwald

This campsite is particularly interesting thanks to its location at the foot of the famous Eiger north face. It is located amidst the impressive Alpine peaks, just a few minutes’ drive from the village center of Grindelwald. It is particularly practical that ski slopes, toboggan runs and cross-country ski trails lead directly to or pass through the campsite. You can strengthen yourself with a hot drink at the Quicky Bar located in the camping area, and you can find delicious snacks at the buffet. Good to know: Hot shower is included in the camping price!

Camping Morteratsch, Pontresina

The Morteratsch campsite is described in various camping rankings as one of the most beautiful campsites in Switzerland, and rightly so. The setting of the complex is reminiscent of a fairy tale: frozen lake, larch and pine forest all around, the impressive backdrop of the Bernina massif and the Morteratsch glacier – it looks like something out of a postcard. It is also the highest campsite in Europe at 1,860 meters above sea level. Cross-country ski trails run directly in front of the campground, and the frozen lake is perfect for ice skating. A ski bus also runs to various ski areas in the Upper Engadine.

Camp Gravatscha, Samedan

Gravatscha campsite, on the banks of the Inn, St. It is located at an altitude of 1,707 meters just a few kilometers from St. Moritz and not far from Lake Gravatscha. If you’re not a die-hard tent camper, there are also several sites for mobile homes, as well as nine beautiful, rustic wooden bungalows, each offering comfortable shelter for four people. Madulain camping area calls itself the “pearl of the Engadin open-air hotel industry”: here you camp in a family atmosphere, in a small but beautiful setting in the middle of Madulain, on the Upper Engadine sun terrace. Fischers Fritz, Zurich

Would you like to live directly on Lake Zurich for once? The Fischers Fritz campsite in Zurich makes this possible. If normal tents or tent sites are too ordinary or too cold for you, you can comfortably enter the silver Airstream, the style icon among caravans. Alternatively, a stylish chalet-style country house with veranda is also available. You can buy supplies from the corner shop, which sells fresh produce from the area. Or you can sit at a table at the Fischers-Fritz restaurant, which is the focal point of the campsite. Camp Miralago, Ticino

Camping at the Miralago campsite, right on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Tenero, is a relaxing pleasure even in the cold season. If you don’t have your own caravan, you can choose to stay in a winter-proof caravan or bungalow. Although the pool remains closed in winter and the water temperature of the lake invites only the hardy, you can enjoy the peace and quiet here in winter and take in the clear view of the lake. Another plus point: Everyone who stays here is entitled to a “Ticino Ticket”, which provides free travel on public transport as well as discounts on cable cars and boats.
