Harrison Ford on the ‘Star Wars’ scene that’s been confusing fans for years: ‘I have no idea and I don’t care’

Joining Indiana Jones, Han Solo is Harrison Ford’s second blockbuster star role, and like the whip-wielding archaeologist, the 81-year-old has returned to the “Star Wars” character again and again throughout his career. Not only did he play the smuggler and Chewbacca’s sidekick in all three installments of the original trilogy, which was created between 1977 and 1983, he also appeared as Han Solo in “Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens.”

And although he – spoiler alert! – died at the end of the late sequel, he made a cameo appearance in the finale of the trilogy “The Rise of Skywalker” convincing. This is exactly what has been causing lively discussions among fans of the still popular science fiction franchise for four years.

In the ninth cinematic episode of “Star Wars,” the scene between Han Solo and his son Kylo Ren, who has turned to the dark side, is repeated – with a different ending (Adam Driver), which ended with the death of the Harrison Ford character in “The Force Awakens.” But what exactly is the dead character’s cameo about? Is he a so-called force ghost (in the ‘Star Wars’ universe, this is the name given to people who manage to live on as ghosts even after their physical death)? Or a projection of Princess Leia?

If you want to know more, don’t ask Harrison Ford. Because he participated in the interview It is all too clear that there is hardly anything that interests him less. “A power spirit? “I don’t know what a Force ghost is,” the “Blade Runner” star said. ‘Do not tell anyone. (…) But I have no idea what a Force ghost is. And I don’t care.”

This attitude fits in well with the fact that Ford has made no secret in the past of the fact that he has little to do with the character of Han Solo, even though he played him in four films and owes much of his fame to him. thank you. He even advocated that George Lucas make Han Solo’s death happen in the movie at the end of the very first “Star Wars” movie – but to the relief of many fans, to no avail!

But there’s something else that irritates Harrison Ford about the star saga. If you want to know what it’s about, you can read more here:
