Ricardo Arjona announced his retirement from music due to health problems. The singer announced this news with a statement on his social networks.
The singer said goodbye in Chili, and he did it just a few hours after finishing his last concert at the Bicentenario Stadium in La Florida, which he held last night. This was the last concert of his “Black and White” tour.
“Thank you for making the impossible so easy,” he said Guatemalan singer via his Instagram account, accompanied by a caption that says “farewell in Santiago.”
“In the afternoon I thought I wasn’t ready to step up since yesterday and I finished to run a marathon on the longest improvised runway of my life,” he added.
He also said, “It’s almost like my career has been since the beginning.”
“Today will be the group’s last concert Black and white. “To all the cities this 159-concert tour has touched, my eternal gratitude.”
“To the doctors who got me back on my feet so that I could finish this journey by postponing the imminent surgery, a big thank you,” he added.
“I had six spinal infiltrations the last two months to be able to bear this farewell,” he continued to explain. (…) I am saying goodbye in this Chile to so many stories and feelings.” He then thanked his team and his followers.
In the letter, he revealed that he experienced a strong back pain in recent months, which led to the suspension or postponement of some concerts in previous months.
