If there’s anyone who knows how to get through the cold months fashionably and without angina, it’s Swiss stylist Alf Heller. Here he explains the do’s and don’ts.
Natural fabrics such as wool, silk or cotton. These are more comfortable to wear and do not cause sweating. If you rely on synthetic fibers, choose viscose or acetate. These are fabrics that absorb moisture and do not stick to the neck.
Choose noble materials such as fine wool or cashmere. Plain colored scarves with classic geometric patterns or finely knitted patterns work best. Place the scarf around your neck and let both ends dangle forward; no knots or loops. If you are wearing a coat over your suit, you should not tuck the scarf in the front. It should fall loosely around your neck.
The style of the scarf does not matter. For example, you can wrap a thick knitted wool scarf around your neck as often as possible. One end falls loosely to the front and the other to the back. The following applies: the more voluminous, the better. Here too, please do not put the scarf inside your jacket.
Dress up a simple outfit with a high-quality designer scarf. This always works.
