A joke for true 90s kids, perhaps a refresher for music lovers: David Guetta’s remix of the all-time GOAT hit “I’m Blue” (DABADEEDABADAAA) was released last year, but is still actively streaming. And played on a loop on the radio.

The Brit’s tragic love song is now eleven years old, but is extremely trendy again. At the end of 2022, ‘Another Love’ even hit the UK charts again – the reason for this was TikTok compilations of the Russian invasion of Ukraine that went viral.

The 23-year-old with the deep voice has come a long way thanks to TikTok – so much so that he even reached fifth place here with ‘Daylight’. He himself said that he owes his success to the app. One of his songs went viral, we can imagine the rest. Congratulations anyway!

Here too, TikTok was pulling the strings in the background. The hashtag #mockingbird was viewed 1.5 billion (!) times on the social media app at the beginning of this year, meaning tons of users then listened to the song in its entirety on Spotify. A real stunner, this Mockingbird.

“Creepin’” featuring 21 Savage and The Weeknd was released at the end of 2022 and has held up well in terms of listener numbers since then. Metro Boomin is “just” the producer. The song itself is based on Mario Winan’s “I Don’t Wanna Know”, which was itself sampled from “Ready or Not” by the Fugees.

The ex-member of the second coolest boy band after the Backstreet Boys is still convincing this year with ‘As It Was’. The 80s synths just make you want to dance, right?
