These include the six-part, often copied and never equaled sketch series ‘Loriot’, the predecessor that combines clever cartoons and surreal humor in the style of ‘Monty Python’, as well as several TV specials about Loriot. So has been since September “Loriot’s great animated film revue”* available in stores – an extensively restored excursion into Loriot’s cartoon work. 31 unforgettable animated shorts are presented in new splendor and polished sound.
The home cinema releases surrounding Loriot’s 100th anniversary would of course not be complete without the two cinema outings of the style-defining and stylish humorist: The cinema “Oedipussi” And “Daddy Ante Portas“ have just been released for the first time as a double Blu-ray package.
It doesn’t matter whether you are planning a Loriot all-rounder or picking out the raisins that are still missing from your collection or simply sound the most interesting to you: Be prepared to think more often: “Oh, that’s where that saying came from!”.
