If “Five Nights At Freddy’s” isn’t enough for you, there’s more from the horror universe here

There are already seven games in the “Five Nights At Freddy’s” series that have been released for various platforms. In addition, since October 26, 2023, you can also be scared in the cinema with the animatronic fearmongers and Josh Hutcherson as a defensive night watchman. But anyone who has already enjoyed the new film on the big screen and completed the games can of course delve even deeper into the cosmos of animated animatronics – as long as he or she has strong nerves.

A total of three novels have been published so far Scott Cawthonthe developer of the popular horror series. However, these are not part of the actual game cosmos, but according to the author’s own statement, are simply inspired by the events of “FNAF”.

Horror novels and comics from the “FNAF” universe

In “Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes” is about a terrible series of crimes that took place in the small town of Hurricane. Ten years after this wave of horror, those affected gather for a memorial event at the site of the tragedy: a restaurant with life-size animatronic figures. How could this terrible accident happen?

The second part of Scott Cawthon’s book series follows the title “Crazy”. This horror novel is about Charlie, a survivor of the terrible events that took place at the family-friendly pizzeria. She hopes to get a fresh start at college, but soon bodies are found not far from campus and the injuries and mutilations they leave are all too familiar to Charlie.

The first two parts are now also available as a graphic novel – the comedy version of “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Crazy“* was just published on October 31, 2023, while “Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes“* came onto the market in 2020. So if you prefer to be scared with illustrations, check out these horror comics.

The conclusion of the trilogy ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is the novel published in 2019 “The fourth cupboard”. Here we return to Hurricane, where a new pizzeria with animatronic figures is now trying its luck. A strange series of child abductions brings back unpleasant memories. John, Jessica, Marla and Carlton set out to solve the mystery of the missing children…

“Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Fourth Closet” marks the conclusion of the literary excursions into the horror universe written by Scott Cawthon – and it will probably remain that way for the time being, because the author and game developer has already announced in 2021 that he wants to withdraw from the franchise.

This means that fans cannot hope for new games or other products related to the horror series in the future. However, since he was also involved in the film’s script, fans can at least maintain a small glimmer of hope that the creative mind behind the game series will one day return to the “FNAF” series.
