After a five-year hiatus, the famous production duo Luny Tunes says in an interview with EFE that they are coming back with “classic reggaeton that people love, mixed with modern sounds” in their new song “Sandunga”, by Don Omar and Wisina and Yandel.
“We have a full program and we don’t know how we will achieve so much job so sudden,” says Francisco Saldaña (Luny), who after this hiatus returns to producing with Víctor Cabrera (Tunes).
“Our career had a lot of good moments, we took a break because we’ve been here for 22 years and one gets fed up and says I want to be calm,” he says about the decision to take a five-year break from music.
Guarantee of success
The duo of Dominican origin settled down Puerto Rico and was the architect of great success reggaeton songs such as “Dale Don Dale”, “Mayor que yo”, “Rakatá”, “El Tiburón”, “Baila Morena” and “Métele Sazón”.
Luny explains that the reason artists want to produce with them is because they guarantee the final product “will be a good song.”
They also produced the group’s debut album Don Omar as soloist “The Last Don”, from “El Abayarde” by Tego Calderón and “Motivando a la Yal” by Sion and Lennox, among others.

Both had a dream to shine as reggaeton music producers when They worked in a restaurant from Harvard University in Boston and decided to try their luck in Puerto Rico with the help of DJ Nelson.
They had no idea that they would become the most influential producer duo in reggaeton in the 2000s and early 2010s.
