Currently, three ‘Star Wars’ films have been officially announced, which we will first introduce to you in a short overview:

- James Mangold explores the beginnings of the Jedi in another project.

But there are plenty of other projects in development, including one from Shawn Levy. The Canadian director and producer has now announced this in an interview with the trade magazine , that it should be a real Shawn Levy movie. What does that mean? Above all, probably stranger humor than we know from ‘Star Wars’.
The assignment: a real Shawn Levy “Star Wars” movie!
Even though Shawn Levy has been on everyone’s lips in recent years, especially for the Netflix hit series ‘Stranger Things’, the producer is not the driving creative force there. What a real Levy project looks like can be seen in other works such as his “Night at the Museum” trilogy with Ben Stiller and, most recently, two films with fellow American Ryan Reynolds: “Free Guy” and “The Adam Project.” This led to him currently serving as director of “Deadpool 3” – again at Reynolds, of course.

The Status of Levy’s “Star Wars” Movie — and a Comparison to “Deadpool 3”

According to Levy, the project still exists anyway at a very, very early stage of development. “I feel very empowered to trust my instincts in developing this story and this film.”
Current work also plays a role “Deadpool 3“. This shows him that it is possible to implement your own idea in such a large universe. His ‘Deadpool’ movie will be exactly what he hoped it would be. And this gives him optimism that his “instincts will show him the right path” with “Star Wars.”
It remains to be seen whether his ‘Star Wars’ film will ever be released.
