As part of the premiere of the last season of “Billions” for Latin America, actor Corey Stoll, Mike Prince in the series, revealed some details about his character and what awaits him in the new episodes.
“Billions” is an addictive drama about finance, investigating it goes in and out of greed and the pursuit of power, whether the intentions are good or not.
During all seasons of “Billions,” Charles “Chuck” Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), the US prosecutor led a fierce and ruthless fight against Bobby “Axe” Axelrod and other tycoons who wanted to avoid justice.
Mike Prince, one of the allies “Chuck” the then new player in the game, took advantage of the fact that everyone was acting in fear and revenge, after the escape of “Axe”, he took over and became the new king.
Stoll’s character will have “Chuck” as their new common enemy alongside “Axe”.
Stoll commented that his character is trying to be good. “He’s trying to be a force for good in the world. And I obviously relate to that. I think where we’re different is that he has such a strong belief in himself that he believes that because he’s so good, intelligent and capable and, you know, has the best ideas in the world, everything he does is intrinsically good. And I think that’s actually his blind spot. And I hope I’m not too much like that,” said the actor.
Furthermore, the character is characterized by having a extreme security and confidence, and to build his performance for Stoll it was difficult to stay on top of that, but at the same time it was a gift for him to be able to bring Prince to life.
Now that Prince is taking over Ax Capital He’ll have to deal with the idea of having to win over people who were previously loyal to “Axe,” and as the season progresses, the competition and rivalry with “Chuck” really starts up again.
