Adam Sandler and the rest of his biological family take center stage in the first official Netflix trailer, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.
The film is an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s coming-of-age novel of the same name. About the Plot: Stacy Friedman and Lydia Katz are longtime best friends who deal with the stress of high school in a modern way. Stacy is busy planning her Bat Mitzvah and has a crush on the most popular boy in school. But then Lydia steals her crush from Stacy and a huge fight ensues, testing their friendship.
Sandler’s daughter, Sunny, stars as Stacy, while his oldest daughter, Sadie, also stars in the film. Just last year, fourteen-year-old Sunny celebrated her own Bat Mitzvah. Sandler’s “Uncut Gems” co-star Idina Menzel plays his wife in this movie.
The cast also includes Sarah Sherman, Luis Guzmán, Ido Mosseri, Samantha Lorraine, Dylan Hoffman, Dean Scott Vazquez, Miya Cech, Dylan Dash, Millie Thorpe and newcomers Zaara Kuttemperoor and Ivory Baker.
It is not the first time that Adam has involved his children in one of his projects. Both daughters had cameos in Jack and Jill (2011) and Pixels (2015), while Sunny also appeared in Grown Ups (2010) and its sequel (2013).
The film will be available on Netflix from August 25.
