What has been going through the rumor mill for days has now been confirmed with the first official photo: In the photo of “dead pool 3” wears Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the first time in the iconic yellow and blue suit from the Marvel Comics. He wasn’t allowed to do it in “X-Men” movies or solo adventures, despite repeated requests from fans.
Instead, there were allusions over and over. When Wolverine complained about being put in a black and dark purple outfit in the very first X-Men movie, one of his fellow mutants teased him that he preferred yellow. And when a scene was shot for “Wolverine: Path of the Warrior” that at least shows the iconic comic suit in a suitcase, it was cut from the film anyway.
But now he’s finally wearing yellow. We are sure that in “dead pool 3‘, which is arguably a multiverse story and will feature cameos and comebacks from many Marvel characters, also hints at why Jackman was previously banned from wearing the iconic Wolverine comics suit, and is now doing so.
But it will be a while before we experience the cinema. On May 1, 2024, “Deadpool 3” by director Shawn Levy (“Free Guy”, “The Adam Project”) will hit German cinemas. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman aren’t the only ones involved as “Deadpool” Wade Wilson and “Wolverine” James “Logan” Howlett.
By your side are numerous familiar faces from the series such as Morena Baccarin as Wade’s great love Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapičić as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus, as well as Karan Soni as Dopinder or Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. Several Marvel veterans are also rumored to be celebrating their comebacks – Jennifer Garner as Elektra and Ben Affleck as Daredevil, as well as several possible X-Men returnees. Meanwhile, “The Crown” star Emma Corrin is completely new to the as-yet-unknown villain role.
