Actress Noami Watts is married

Actors Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup have taken the next step. Watts confirms on Instagram after the first rumors that she is married. The 54-year-old also shared a photo of her standing on the steps of a New York City courthouse in her wedding outfit. Watts simply writes, “Hitched!” (in German: «Just married!»).

Watts wore Oscar de la Renta’s “Sweetheart Water Lilly Guipure” white dress, which is decorated all over with lace flowers and costs nearly $5,000. Crudup wore a plain midnight blue suit and white shirt.

Countless Hollywood stars congratulate under the surprising post. Gwyneth Paltrow writes: “Yipeeeeeee! Send so much love!”, Michelle Pfeiffer: “Oh wow! Congratulations. So happy for both of you.” Most of all, Liv Tyler seems surprised, simply writing “Wow” to heart-eyed emojis. Justin Theroux congratulates in all caps, “Congratulations!” Other well-wishers include Olivia Wilde, Miranda Kerr, Lisa Rinna, Katie Holmes, Juliane Moore, Kerry Washington, Chloe Sevigny and Jennifer Coolidge Watts’ ex Liev Schreiber also congratulated.

The American medium “Page Six” has already speculated about a wedding after the couple was seen in their wedding outfits, wedding rings and a bouquet of flowers in front of their apartment on Friday. As Watts now reveals about other photos in her story, the flowers didn’t come from the florist, but were bought unpretentiously from a deli.

After that there was apparently a small party where actor Josh Hamilton also celebrated his birthday, according to a group photo. Watts writes about this: “A little fun with the man …” Besides Hamilton, there were actor Mark Ruffalo, his wife Sunrise Coigney and Hamilton’s wife Lily Thorne.

Watts and Crudup met while filming their 2017 Netflix series Gypsy. In the drama series, the two play a married couple. But it wasn’t until 2022 that they first appeared on a red carpet as a couple.
