After a visit to this tuner, your Mercedes will be stronger than an F1 car and your bank balance will be gone

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ 4-Door Coupé – breather – is not a slow car per se. The 4.0-liter V8 at the front produces 639 hp, with which you can sprint to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The E-Performance variant adds another 204 hp and reduces the sprint time to just 2.9 seconds. It can always get crazier, as RennTech proves. After a visit to this tuner, your Mercedes-AMG GT 63 will be stronger than a Formula 1 car and your wallet will be empty.

The American tuner supplies the so-called RIIIx Performance Package, a tuning package that increases performance to almost 1,200 hp. This makes the large four-door coupe more powerful than a modern Formula 1 car, which squeezes almost 1,000 hp from a 1.6-liter V6 hybrid engine. For the sake of simplicity, we leave out the fact that Max Verstappen’s car weighs more than one and a half tons less than the Mercedes-AMG GT 63.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 sprints almost as fast as an F1 car

The Mercedes is still being searched by a Formula 1 car, there’s no question about that. Nevertheless, the GT 63 can keep up amazingly well with a Formula 1 car in the 0 to 100 sprint. A Mercedes-AMG GT 63 tackled by RennTech manages to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (almost 100 km/h) in 2.44 seconds. A fraction slower than an F1 car. Although the Mercedes de quarter mile A Formula 1 car beats the AMG to over 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds. In the pinnacle of motorsport, a sprint from 0 to 200 km/h takes only around 4.5 seconds.

It is noticeable that the torque does not increase significantly. In fact, a tuned Mercedes-AMG GT 63 with a maximum of 1,257 Nm torque has less torque than the standard E-Performance version, which is almost as strong in terms of torque as a DAF truck.

An impressive piece nonetheless, with a lot to do: a different ECU, a bigger turbo, better downpipe, A different intercooler and a fuel system that can handle the extra demand are just part of the long list of upgrades. The air intake, the brakes and the exhaust system of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 are also being revised.

Gigantic price

Most will be fans of even more power. Does that also apply to them? convenience store Wheels, stripes and other eye-catching decals are the issue here. Especially when you consider that the tuning package for the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 costs just under 90,000 euros.
