A loan from the Galicia Renova Electrodomésticos program—an aid line launched by the Xunta de Galicia to promote the purchase of new and more efficient appliances—has expired. This was announced yesterday by the Galician government, which revealed that it had received more than 19,000 requests. As explained by the First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Francisco Conde, during the ceremony in Lalín, a total of 491 institutions from all over Galicia participated in the initiative, whose budget was three million euros.
In addition, the regional administration stated that vulnerable consumers represent more than 22% of users, which is the highest figure reached so far.
Among the requests, the most requested is a refrigerator-freezer with a total of 3,693 requests; while in second place is the induction plate with 3,274. By province, Pontevedra recorded the most requests (6,767), followed by A Coruña (6,524), Lugo (3,076) and Ourense (3,051).
