The National Secretariat for Energy has announced new fuel prices that will be effective from 6:00 a.m April 21 until 05:59 hours. May 5.
In the provinces Panama and Colon the price of 95 octane gasoline will remain at $1.17 liters, while 91 octane in 1.06 USDor liter. The price of low-sulphur diesel remains at 0.93 cents per liter
It is important to note that the subsidy for 95 octane gasoline expires on April 22, the State Government announced.
Meanwhile, from April 22 to May 31, the price of a gallon of solid fuel will be kept at $3.25 for gasoline and diesel of 91 octane.
The fuel subsidy seeks to stimulate economic growth in sectors such as: agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, fisheries, construction, trade, industry and tourism, among others.
In addition, that the price of the ticket does not increase for the population, in addition to guaranteeing the creation of jobs and that inflation in Panama remains among the lowest in the world in order for the country to progress.
This subsidy is granted after the protests recorded in June in 2022 against rising fuel prices and the high cost of living.
