The Xunta de Galicia has asked the central government to convene all the autonomous communities to a Housing Sector Conference to address the content of the project Law on the right to housing.
With this aim, the Minister of Environment, Territory and Housing, Ángeles Vázquez, sent a letter this Friday to the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, asking for the convening of this meeting and its holding “as soon as possible” due to the “importance” of the matter needs to be addressed, as reported by the Xunta.
In his letter, Vázquez shows the Galician government’s concern for “concerns” and requests for information from different professional groups of the housing sector in Galicia on future state regulations, pending their processing in the Congress of Deputies.
The Xunta assures that it is aware that other autonomous communities have joined the request for information from Galicia and have contacted the central government to request an urgent sectoral conference where this issue could be resolved.
