Panamanian surfers sharp for Pan American

Two of the biggest representatives of Panamanian surfing, Jean Carlos “Oli” González Camarena and Enilda Samanta Alonso, are preparing for the Pan American Surfing Championship, which will take place from April 21 to 23 at Santa Catalina Beach.

Last year, in this competition that also took place in Panama, “Oli” González won the silver medal after six rounds, a sign that Panamerica will have a positive impact on the Panamanian and Santa Catalina economy.

He added that he expects to go as far as possible, since this competition is a qualifier for the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, so he continues to train at the highest level.

For her part, Samanta added that this type of event will help raise awareness of the high level of surfing and other water sports (sup surf, sup race, bodyboard) that exist in our country.
