Rent becomes more expensive by 8.7% and records the highest level in Spain

In Galicia, the growth was 6.5 percent, which means that the average price per square meter is 8 euros.

The month of February ended with a monthly increase of 0.4% in the rental price in Spain to 11.7 euros per square meter, according to the latest price report published by idealista. In the last quarter, the price increased by 3.4 percent, while last year the growth was 8.7 percent. The data for February makes it the highest historical rental price in Spain since the real estate portal has kept records. In Galicia, the growth is 6.5%, which means that the average price per square meter is 8 euros

Balearic Islands, the highest climb

The largest increase in rents compared to 2022 was recorded in the Balearic Islands (18.7%), the Community of Valencia (15.2%), the Canary Islands (14.3%), Catalonia (13.2%) and Cantabria (11, 1%). The portal has more than 1,500,000 ads for sale or rent of apartments and houses.
