They pretend to be a company from Culleredo and manage to defraud 60,000 euros from another from Murcia

The Civil Guard of Culleredo main station identified three men as alleged perpetrators of the crime of fraud and another for belonging to a criminal group and two crimes of forgery of a commercial document, in the exploitation phase of Operation Cameril.

The intervention, supervised from the beginning by the Instructive Court No. 6 in A Coruña, began as a result of a complaint filed by a representative society based in Cullered in the official offices of the Civil Guard. In it, he announced that the unknown authors had imitated from the same issuing invoices some of their clients, one of them, a company from the Murcia city of Yecla, which pass in total 60,000 euros.

Agents began an investigation to verify the truth of the facts and identify the author of the facts in his case. At the same time, the active units confirmed the existence of the criminal act, establishing that it was committed using the so-called method. Email spoofingwhich consists of sending an e-mail from an address similar to that of the fraudulently represented company, requesting a deposit to an account number corresponding to the perpetrators of the crime, which after receiving the amount was forwarded to different accounts, domestic and international, thus trying to make the work of the police more difficult.

Through field work, civil guard employees managed to fully identify the alleged perpetrators, who turned out to be a resident of Badajoz and two residents of Vitoriaachieving a return of 48,300 euros with the speed of his action
