Termination of the strike; the union and the brewery reached an agreement

union of Workers of the Panamanian Beer Industry (STICP) and National Brewery (CN) managed to end the 24-hour strike that was declared on Friday, June 16.

Through the statement, National brewery they announced that from this moment the company’s operations were reactivated throughout the country.

It was announced that through dialogue and search for consensus, the company and the union reached a satisfactory agreement, in accordance with the current economic reality, on the eight points of the document presented by the union.

According to the company, thanks to the agreement between the parties reached in a short period of time, customer service was not affected and its business continues to develop normally.

“The strike was declared null and void in favor of our more than 1400 colleagues and all our clients who guaranteed the continuity of all our production, logistics and sales of our brands,” the press release added.

The company assures that they respected the rights of workers and the importance of maintaining an open, continuous and constructive dialogue, a mechanism that enabled us to reach consensual agreements in several collective agreements.

They thanked the entire community for their understanding and reiterated the company’s commitment to Panama, where they will continue to collaborate in the development of this country and its people.
