The Galician company for renewable energy assures that it operates “absolutely normally” and that it has paid another 1.7 million loans with its own funds

Two months after being suspended from listing on BME Growth, a stock exchange reserved for small and medium-sized companies, for withholding insider information and failing to submit annual reports for 2022, the Galician renewable energy EiDF Solar, based in the council of Pontevedra in Barro, “operates with absolute normality, fulfilling its financial and operational obligations.” This was announced by the company after they announced that they once again repaid 1.7 million euros in debentures with their own funds. A month ago, he already paid another 7.5 million loans, which reduced the debt by 9.2 million. The listing suspension ordered by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has closed the company’s financial window to potential investors and fueled fears that it will not be able to meet its obligations to repay previous loans. However, the EiDF is using the savings as it tries to resolve the issues and present its annual accounts. To this end, it engaged Deloitte to “conduct an investigation with the aim of analyzing and gathering evidence regarding incidents and/or differences with PricewaterhouseCoopers Auditores, SL in the process of auditing accounts,” according to what EiDF itself reported to the market. end of April.

Along with the announcement of the recent debenture payment, the Galician company announced that it had opened a new branch in Madrid “with the aim of supporting its presence in the business it carries out and in its commercial activities.” It will move the headquarters of its branch in Castilla-La Mancha there. EiDF has twelve delegations throughout Spain. The company emphasized that “with this business initiative, the company is strengthening its operational and commercial presence in the center of the peninsula in order to continue fulfilling the business plan for this year.”

The group led by Fernando Romero pointed out that only during the first quarter of this year it formalized the acquisition of nine projects in an advanced stage of processing. Last year, he worked on the installation of 400 photovoltaic solar projects, mostly for self-consumption adapted to small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies. This increase in activity has boosted employment at EiDF Solar and the company has already created 240 direct jobs, 45% more than in 2021, and around 500 indirect jobs, according to the information provided.
