“The script took about a year and a half, preparations began at the end of 2021, filming took place from February 8 to April 30 last year. Everything was somehow simple, organic. We managed to get financing: the film was created entirely from sponsorship money, like my previous film The Frenchman, there are no state funds. The group I worked with is the same group with which we made two previous films: “Once upon a time there was a woman” and “The Frenchman”. The artists are simply amazing, of different generations, while all of them are at a very high level, real stars,” Smirnova is quoted by the BFM.ru portal.
